Since Oracle doesn't provide standard way to browse database server directories, a bit of configuration is needed on every database where such browsing is desired. Configuring server-side directory browsing describes two alternative methods supported by AlderPump.

NB: Such setup is only needed for file browsing; AlderPump works happily without it.
